Changing hotspot name can prevent CameraLink devices from connecting

Did you change your SlingStudio hotspot's name (SSID)? If so, please take a look here.

If you change the name (SSID) of your SlingStudio hotspot, any CameraLink devices that you previously used may not be able to reconnect automatically to the SlingStudio hotspot.

To fix this, you'll need to delete the CameraLink from the SlingStudio Console app, and then pair it again. Once that's done, the CameraLink should then be able to auto-reconnect to the SlingStudio hotspot once again.

To do this:

  1. Go to the SlingStudio Console app.
  2. Tap the Settings icon, and then go to My CameraLinks.
You should see your CameraLink listed.
  3. Tap Forget this source.
  4. Press and hold the CameraLink power button for 10 seconds.
The Power LED, on the CameraLink Power button, blinks red.
  5. Tap the Pair CameraLink (WPS) switch, at the top of the My CameraLinks window.

The CameraLink should then pair with the SlingStudio hotspot, and should also reconnect automatically from here on in.
