Can I use prerecorded content for a live broadcast?

You can use prerecorded content for a live broadcast … here's how.

If you need to use your SlingStudio to broadcast some prerecorded content live, you can do that.

Here's how:

  1. Prepare your SlingStudio unit for the live broadcast: Set up a project, make sure the live broadcast is configured and ready, and so on.
  2. Get the prerecorded video ready to go on your computer or other source. That source needs either an HDMI-Out port, or some arrangement that provides HDMI output.
  3. Connect the source (with the prerecorded video) to your SlingStudio using the SlingStudio HDMI-In port. If you have a SlingStudio CameraLink, you can also use that to connect the source to your SlingStudio.
  4. Once connected to the SlingStudio unit, the prerecorded content displays in the SlingStudio Console app as a video source.
  5. Select the prerecorded content for your Program content, and broadcast it as you would any other video source.

IMPORTANT: If you are streaming pre-recorded content live to Facebook, YOU MUST READ AND ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING FACEBOOK POLICY:
